Discover the caves that were once described by Dr Robert Broom as the anthropological treasure house of the world.
These caves are situated in the "Cradle of Humankind World Heritage Site."
This is the place where Dr Robert Broom found the very first adult ape-man fossil in 1936 and where, in 1947, he discovered Mrs Ples. Mrs Ples is the oldest most complete Australopithecus Africanus (ape-man genus) skull yet found.
Visit Dr Broom’s museum which houses some of the fossils found in the cave. Enjoy a one hour guided tour of the caves by an experienced guide. Inside the caves you will view the massive breathtaking rock pinnacles hanging overhead in the Elephant Chamber and the Milner Hall.
The reflection of the crystalline growths on the underground lake provide a feeling of tranquility and beauty.
